Hu Changmin, Ph.D., is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Huazhong Agricultural University, a senior member of the Chinese Association of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, an expert in the purification and evaluation of animal diseases in large-scale farms of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, a core member of the National Animal Tuberculosis Laboratory (Wuhan) and the “Basic and Technological Innovation Team for Bovine Disease Prevention and Control,” which was recognized as a National Outstanding Agricultural Research Team by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and a key member of the "Basic and Technological Innovation Team for Bovine Disease Prevention and Control", focusing on the epidemiology, pathogenic mechanism, new vaccines and molecular diagnostic preparations of important diseases of herbivorous livestock and companion animals. He has led 23 research projects such as the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and enterprise commissioned projects. He has won 1 first prize and 1 third prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the China General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC), 1 Wuhan Science and Technology Progress Award, and 25 granted invention patents. He has developed and published one national standard, one industry standard, two group standards, and seven Hubei provincial standards. He served as associate editor-in-chief of four monographs on bovine disease prevention and control, and participated in the compilation of 8 books; The first and corresponding author has published more than 70 academic papers in Chinese and English, with a maximum of more than 400 citations for a single paper.
