
Dr. Kegong Tian is a Researcher, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at Henan Agricultural University. He serves as the chief expert of the World Organisation for Animal Health Reference Laboratory for Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) and chairman of the Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostics Branch of the China Veterinary Medical Association. Having devoted himself to animal diseases for over four decades, he holds 265 invention patents, including 40 international patents and has been granted 66 new veterinary drug certificates, six of which are Class I. He has published 375 papers (137 in English) and has been recognized as a Highly Cited Chinese Researcher for five consecutive years. He has edited 10 monographs and formulated 26 national or industrial standards. The innovative products he developed have been transferred to 127 animal health companies, with total transfer fees exceeding 400 million RMB. His technologies have been applied more than 100 billion times in the livestock industry, with total sales revenue reaching 26.7 billion RMB. As the lead recipient, he has won more than 20 national awards, such as the Second Prize of the National Scientific and Technological Progress Award and the China Patent Gold Award. He has also been honored with titles, like Outstanding Engineer, Contemporary Inventor, recipient of the State Council Special Government Allowance. In 2018, he was elected as a Deputy to the 13th National People's Congress of China.
