Dr. Qigai He is a Professor at Huazhong Agricultural University. He is a permanent researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Agricultural Microbial Resources Exploration and Utilization, and Disease Control Scientist of the China Agriculture Research System for Swine Industry. He is also the president of the swine veterinary medicine branch of China Veterinary Medical Association, Director of the MARA Reference Laboratory for Pseudorabies, China, board member of the Asian Pig Veterinary Society, Director of the China–Thailand Joint Laboratory for Livestock Disease Prevention and Control Technologies. Dr.HE focuses on the diagnosis, prevention and control of the emerging and re-emerging swine diseases such as African swine fever (ASF), pseudorabies, porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED), and porcine contagious pleuropneumonia (PCP). He has published more than 100 papers in domestic and international journals. Except for basic research, He developed four new veterinary vaccines / diagnostic kits which were approved with New Veterinary Drug Registration Certificates. Dr.HE Qigai always visits and provides technical service for the pig farms in China and Asian countries.
