Dr. Jianmin Zhang is an associate professor and Ph.D. supervisor in the College of Veterinary Medicine, South China Agricultural University. He has titles of ‘Zhujiang Young Scholar of Guangdong Province’ and ‘Zhujiang New star of Science & Technology in Guangzhou City’. Dr. Zhang is a member of Chinese mirror committee to Subcommittee 9 on Microbiology Technical Committee 34 on Food Industry of ISO, Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine (CAAV), Guangdong Animal Epidemic Prevention Expert Committee and Livestock and Poultry Slaughter Standardization Establishment Expert Committee of Guangdong Province. Dr. Zhang’s research interests focus on epidemiology, drug resistance and pathogenic mechanisms, detection methods and comprehensive prevention and control techniques of Salmonella and other important bacteria and bacterial diseases. He has hosted over 20 projects such as National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), subproject of National Key R&D Program of China, Guangdong Key S&T Program and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and took part in 5 projects with Walmart and other company. Dr. Zhang has published over 100 research articles, over 40 of which are in SCI journals such as Biosensors and Bioelectronics(IF:10.6), International Journal of Food Microbiology(IF:5.28)and Poultry Science, and obtained 1 Chines patent and 1 international patent. He has also received a First prize of Science and Technology Progress of Guangdong Province, First prize of Guangdong Agricultural Technology Promotion Award and BEST RESEARCHER AWARD(Identification Number: 13319)from Science Father. And he is the guest associate editor of Frontiers Cellular and Infection Microbiology(IF:5.3), editor of Frontiers in Microbiology(IF:5.6), and reviewer of Food Control and Biosensors and Bioelectronics and so on.
