Professor Chao-nan Lin was born in Taiwan on January 20, 1982. He trained in veterinary medicine at the National Chiayi University and then completed his PhD studies in 2009 at the Department of Veterinary Medicine, National Taiwan University. His postdoctoral research was conducted in the Program of Emerging Infectious Diseases, Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. Professor Lin joined the faculty of Department of Veterinary Medicine in the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan since 2010. Now, he is a professor at the NPUST. His laboratory aims to address the critical gaps in animal infectious diseases, especially in companion animals and swine. His research combines molecular diagnosis, diseases pathogenesis and veterinary clinical investigations and applications.
