He is a member of the National Animal Disease Prevention Expert Committee, a member of the National Animal Health Risk Assessment Committee, a decision consultant of the China Association of Science and Technology, a member of the five veterinary drug (raw drug) evaluation committee of the Ministry of Agriculture, a visiting professor of Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University of Science and Technology and Yunnan Agricultural University, and a supervisor of master students. He has presided over and undertaken 20 national, provincial and ministerial research projects. He has received 1 National Science and Technology Progress Award and 1 Third Prize, 10 Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards, drafted and completed 40 reports on important research topics, edited (translated) 4 monographs, and published 90 professional academic papers. He is mainly engaged in epidemiological investigation/monitoring, early warning and prevention and control of major animal diseases.
