Dr. Peng Yin is an Associate Professor at the School of Medicine and Engineering, Beihang University, Director of the Laboratory Animal Center, and a visiting scholar at the National University of Singapore. Her research focuses on rapid pathogen diagnostics, animal disease prevention and control, and the development of novel vaccines. She also serves as Deputy Secretary-General of the Zhongguancun Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance and as a member of the Medical-Engineering Integration Subcommittee of the Zhongguancun Standardization Association.

Dr. Yin has long been committed to the innovative application of medical-engineering interdisciplinary technologies in veterinary diagnostics and public health security. She has led eight research projects, including a sub-project of the National Key Research and Development Program of China and a technology concept validation project supported by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. As first or corresponding author, she has published more than ten SCI papers in leading international journals, including Nature Immunology. Her team pioneered a “structure-guided and multi-epitope fusion” vaccine design strategy, with related technological achievements successfully transferred and commercialized for RMB 35 million. The multi-target rapid pathogen detection technology developed by her team won First Prize in the 8th “Entrepreneurship Beijing” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. She actively promotes scientific innovation and technology transfer, and has mentored students who have received more than ten awards in national and provincial innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. Her research outcomes have supported animal disease surveillance and public health security systems in Beijing, and have made significant contributions to advancing the application of pathogen diagnostics, vaccine development, and medical-engineering integration technologies in veterinary medicine and animal health.
