
Dr. Polson, a 1982 DVM graduate of Iowa State University, received his MS in Integrated Food Animal Management Systems from the University of Illinois (1989) and PhD in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota (1997), focused on Applied Epidemiology, Production and Economics.
He previously was part of the Global Integrated Health Management Team at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health working on the discovery, evaluation, development and operational integration of Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) technologies, digital platforms and analytic insights.
He is currently Founder of Cognitive Ag, LLC – committed to the evaluation, valuation, assimilation and integration of technologies, analytics and algorithms into coherent ecosystems that support local-to-global business levels of decision-making as well as pan-business industry-scale communication, cooperation, coordination and collaboration in livestock production.
