
Dr. Yuehuan Liu is a Researcher and Director of the Animal Disease Research Division at the Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences. He has served as a member of the 5th, 6th, and 7th Veterinary Drug Review Committees of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), an expert of the First Animal Epidemic Prevention Committee of MARA, and a member of the Expert Group of the Beijing Command Center for the Prevention and Control of Major Animal Diseases. He currently serves as an expert in the MARA Expert Pool for Veterinary Drug Evaluation and Consultation, a member of the 7th Veterinary Pharmacopoeia Committee, and a member of the 4th National Technical Committee for Animal Health Standardization.
He received the State Council Special Government Allowance in 2012, was selected for the National Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talents Project as a National-Level Candidate with Outstanding Contributions in 2017, and was recognized as an Advanced Individual by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in 2019. His research focuses on animal disease epidemiology, diagnostics, and the development of veterinary diagnostic reagents and vaccines. As the first contributor, he obtained two Class I and two Class II National New Veterinary Drug Registration Certificates and has been granted 10 invention patents. His achievements have received multiple awards, including the First Prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Award (as the second contributor), the Second Prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Award for Technological Invention (as the first contributor), the Second Prize of the Invention and Entrepreneurship Award of the China Invention Association, and two Third Prizes of the Beijing Science and Technology Award.
