Dr. Chunhua Li is a researcher at the Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Master’s supervisor at Shanghai Ocean University. She serves as a permanent member of the council and deputy secretary-general of the Shanghai Society of Animal husbandry and Veterinary Sciences.She is mainly engaged in research on pathogens of livestock and poultry diseases and the development of veterinary biological products. She has conducted R&D and regulatory application work for live porcine parvovirus vaccine, inactivated pigeon paramyxovirus vaccine, inactivated porcine epidemic diarrhea vaccine, and porcine circovirus type 2 vaccine, and was responsible for obtaining two clinical trial approvals from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and one import certificate for new veterinary drugs. Currently, she is focusing on research and vaccine development for animal coronaviruses and major pathogens of sheep/goat diseases. She has participated in 20 national and provincial-level projects and led 7 projects. She has co-authored 2 books named the Handbook of Swine Disease Prevention and Control Techniques and Swine Pathogen Infections and Infectious Diseases, and published over 70 papers in domestic and international academic journals, including Journal of Virology, PlOS ONE, Animals, Virology Journal, Chinese Journal of Virology, and Microbiology China.
