
Professor Gao Yulong is a Level-II Researcher, Doctoral Supervisor, and Chief Scientist of the Avian Immunosuppressive Disease Innovation Team at the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute (HVRI), CAAS. He is the Project Lead for the National 14th Five-Year Plan R&D Program, Director of the WOAH Reference Laboratory for Infectious Bursal Disease, and Director of the Disease Control Research Office of the National Broiler Industry Technology System. He is a leading talent under the National Special Support Program. He also serves as Secretary-General of the Veterinary Immunology Branch of the Chinese Society for Immunology, Deputy Secretary-General of the Poultry Diseases Branch of the Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine (CAAV), and a member of the 7th Chinese Veterinary Pharmacopoeia Commission. His research focuses on the fundamentals and control of avian viral immunosuppressive diseases. He has led over 20 research projects including National Key R&D Program projects and Key Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published over 170 papers, obtained 5 New Veterinary Drug Certificates (including one Class I and two Class II New Veterinary Drug Certificates), received 7 science and technology awards, and been granted 20 invention patents.
