Dr. Yingchun Fu is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science, Zhejiang University. He is a core member of the Intelligent Bio-Industrial Equipment Innovation Team (IBE) at Zhejiang University and a Shennong Young Talent of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. He serves as Director of the Sensor Laboratory for Animal Physiology, Biochemistry, and Nutrition at the National Engineering Research Center for Green Feed and Healthy Animal Farming, and Deputy Director of the Intelligent Agricultural Equipment Research Institute at Zhejiang University. His research centers on detection technologies and equipment for animal disease and livestock product safety. He has published 54 papers (24 with IF >10) as first/corresponding author in journals including Nature Communications, been granted 15 invention patents, and he has led more than 20 research projects, including subprojects under major national initiatives for key agricultural core technologies and projects funded by the National Key Research and Development Program of China. He has received awards including a National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Nomination, a First Prize for Natural Science from Hunan Province, and a Second Prize for National Teaching Achievement. He serves as a council member of the Animal Infectious Diseases Branch of the Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine (CAAV), a Council Member of the Livestock Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, a Member of the Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Agricultural Robotics, Section Editor and Youth Editorial Board Member for Engineering (published by the Chinese Academy of Engineering), and is a former Chair of the Biological Sensors Section of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE).
