Professor Feng Zhixin is a Researcher, Doctoral Supervisor, and Deputy Director of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine at the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is the Principal Investigator of the Shennong Outstanding Innovation Team of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, an expert consultant for the Ministry's Veterinary Drug Evaluation, a talent of the Jiangsu Province "333 Project" and "Six Talent Peaks", and an Executive Director of the Asian Organization for Mycoplasmology. He has long focused on the etiology, immunology, diagnosis, control, and eradication of animal respiratory diseases, particularly mycoplasmosis. He has led over 10 national and provincial projects. He has developed a mucosal sIgA antibody detection kit for Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and an inactivated vaccine against the disease, and invented an aerosol immunization technology for swine vaccines. He has received five national and provincial/ministerial-level awards, including the Second Prize of the National Technological Invention Award, the First Prize of the China Agricultural Science and Technology Award, and the Outstanding Innovation Team Award.
