
Nanhua Chen is a professor and PhD supervisor at Yangzhou University. He received his Ph.D. in Pathobiology from Kansas State University in 2014. He was listed among Stanford University and Elsevier's World's Top 2% Scientists and was selected for the Jiangsu Provincial Excellent Young Scholars Program. His researches mainly focus on porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) prevention and control strategies and corresponding underlying mechanisms. He has led more than 16 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the "14th Five-Year Plan" National Key Research and Development Plan. He also serves as Associate Editors for the international journals such as “Transboundary and Emerging Diseases” and “Molecular Genetics and Genomics”. As first or corresponding author, he has published more than 40 papers in leading journals, including Journal of Virology, Virulence, and Veterinary Research. Four of these publications have been recognized as ESI Highly Cited Papers.His publications have been cited more than 3100 times with an H-index of 27. He has applied for 16 Chinese invention patents, five of which have been granted. In addition, one patented technology has been commercialized.
