Dr. Chen, Associate Professor, has been engaged in researches and control practices on antibiotic resistance surveillance, antibiotic resistance gene detection methods establishment, and resistance molecular mechanism since 2006. She was member of the Editorial Board of "Disease Surveillance". She has been dispatched to Africa to aid Sierra Leone for diarrhea-related pathogens antibiotic resistance research and monitoring in the local population and the environment. The current research addresses ARGs dissemination detection among animals, community, environment throughout China by using qPCR methods and high-throughput assay. She has been PI of project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. And, she also has published more than 30 research papers and participated in the compilation and compilation of 4 monographs on animal pharmacopoeia, animal antibiotic resistance, and food safety standards
