Dr. Rajeev has diverse and unique combination of qualifications and experience in veterinary medicine. She obtained her degree in Veterinary Medicine from Kerala Agricultural University India, and PhD in Comparative and Experimental Medicine from University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is a diplomate of American college of Veterinary Microbiologists (certified in bacteriology and mycology, virology and immunology), and American College of Veterinary Pathologists (Anatomic Pathology). Dr. Rajeev has 32 years of experience in veterinary medicine, out of which 25 years is in association with veterinary diagnostic laboratories. Dr. Rajeev is also enthusiastic about applied research in infectious diseases and to engage in scholarly activities. Her main focus of research is in Leptospira focusing on improving vaccines and diagnostics. She is keen about contributing to veterinary medical education for the 21stcentury and graduate training in infectious diseases. Currently she is a Professor of Infectious Diseases at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
