Jianqiang Ye got his PhD degree with major in preventive veterinary medicine in College of Veterinary Medicine at Yangzhou University in 2005. Dr Ye did postdoc research in Nanjing University (China, 2005-2008) and University of Maryland (USA, 2008-2012). Dr Ye was appointed as Research Assistant Professor in College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University (USA, 2012-2013). Since 2013, Dr Ye has been appointed as Distinguished Professor in Department of Preventive Veterinary Medicine at Yangzhou University. Dr Ye’s current research focuses on the pathogenesis and prevention of poultry viral diseases, specially for avian immunosuppressive and emerging/re-emerging diseases. Dr Ye was selected as Jiangsu Province's innovation and entrepreneurship team (2/3) in 2015, selected as“333” talent project of Jiangsu Province in 2016, selected as “young and middle-aged academic leader of Green and blue project”in Jiangsu Province in 2019 and granted the second prize of science and technology progress award of Ministry of Education of China (2/15) in 2016. So far, Dr Ye has published 69 SCI papers (Total IF>255 and Citation>1750) in journals such as Clinical Infectious Disease, PLoS Pathogen, Emerging Infectious Disease, Emerging Microbes and Infections and Journal of Virology et al. Dr Ye has got 8 national and provincial grants (as PI), 9 national patents (first inventor) and 2 approvals for clinical trials of veterinary biological products (first inventor) since 2013.
